How are the JDH stars performing with their clubs halfway through the season?
Every weekend, dozens of athletes represent our brand. On the field, on the road, and on the court; wherever elite sports are played, JDH is there. In this weekly feature, we keep you updated on the athletic achievements of 'our' players.

Hockey
Men’s Hoofdklasse
In the Men’s Hoofdklasse, Bloemendaal – with JDH players Jasper Brinkman and Jan van 't Land in the ranks – enters the winter break as the league leader. The team from North Holland collected a remarkable 31 points from 11 matches. Den Bosch sits in second place, surprisingly, with four points less than Bloemendaal. JDH stars Joppe Wolbert and Tom Sorsby are key players for the team from Den Bosch. Amsterdam (with the South African international Mustapha Cassiem) follows just one point behind.
Women’s Hoofdklasse
Behind Den Bosch, SCHC, and Pinoké, Amsterdam completes the top four of the Women’s Hoofdklasse. JDH player Gabrielle Mosch undoubtedly had a different first half of the season in mind. Hurley – featuring Cis van der Salm and Marente Barenten – is currently in sixth place, trailing Amsterdam by a significant eight points. Securing a playoff spot will be an uphill battle.
HGC, where JDH player Isis van Loon plays, is eighth and has had a relatively quiet season so far. Bibi Donraadt secured a crucial second win of the season for her club Oranje-Rood against direct competitor HDM last Sunday, keeping hopes of avoiding relegation alive.
Men’s Promotieklasse
At the top of the Men’s Promotieklasse, the competition is fierce. Tilburg, Schaerweijde, and Victoria make up the top three, separated by just four points. Voordaan, with JDH player Hidde Plantenga as a pivotal figure, has the same number of points as third-placed Victoria and is still in the race for promotion to the Hoofdklasse. Laren (with Diederick van Berckel) could match that total if they win their rescheduled match against bottom-placed HGC, scheduled for next Sunday.
Women’s Promotieklasse
The competition is just as tight in the Women’s Promotieklasse. Bloemendaal, with Annelies Pos and Demi Hilterman representing our brand, leads the league with 25 points from 11 matches. Ring Pass and Nijmegen follow closely with 24 and 23 points, respectively. Isabeau de Looze and Mikki Roolaart had a strong start to the season with Leonidas, but recent performances have declined, dropping the Rotterdam-based team to fourth place.
Abroad
JDH is also prominently visible beyond the Netherlands. Lukas Windfeder and his Uhlenhorst Mülheim team currently sit at a disappointing tenth place in the German Bundesliga after twelve matches. The penalty corner specialist undoubtedly had higher expectations for his club before the season.
In the Belgian Hoofdklasse, Braxgata, featuring JDH star Loick Luypart, holds an impressive second place. Racing Bruxelles, with Sam Winners and Oscar Berton on the roster, finds itself in a disappointing ninth place, despite aiming for a playoff spot at the start of the season.
*All European top leagues will resume in March. Until then, players have national team commitments or participate in various indoor competitions.
