Men’s Top Match Ends in Draw

The top match in the Dutch Hoofdklasse for men between Den Bosch and Bloemendaal ended in a draw. The thrilling duel at the Oosterplas reached a fitting 2-2 result thanks to a late goal by Bloemendaal.

Den Bosch, with JDH players Joppe Wolbert and Tom Sorsby in the lineup, took an early lead in the first half with a penalty corner converted by Timo Boers. Bloemendaal soon leveled the score thanks to a goal by Spaniard Marc Miralles. The visiting side also had strong JDH representation, with Jasper Brinkman and Jan van 't Land contributing to the game.

With just under fifteen minutes remaining, Koen Bijen looked set to clinch the victory for Den Bosch, but Australian international Nathan Ephraums had other plans, scoring the equalizer just one minute before the final whistle. A well-deserved result for an intense match.

The draw cost Den Bosch the top spot, now taken over by Amsterdam, while Den Bosch moves to second. Bloemendaal experienced its first point loss and is now third with one fewer game played. Next weekend, Den Bosch hosts the underperforming Oranje-Rood, while Bloemendaal will face league leaders Amsterdam.

Eliot Curty Secures Win for Waterloo Ducks in Thriller Against Herakles

Eliot Curty and the Waterloo Ducks won their high-stakes Belgian Hoofdklasse match against Herakles with a 1-0 scoreline. The victory brought the Ducks back in touch with the top four, placing them sixth and just two points away from a playoff position.

Waterloo Ducks, a team with several international players, had been struggling this season. However, last Sunday’s victory over fellow title contenders Herakles should give the team a much-needed confidence boost. Next weekend, the Ducks will take on last-place Namurois.

TOP Oss Earns a Point at the GelreDome

TOP Oss managed a respectable recovery from their cup loss against De Graafschap, securing a valuable point with a 0-0 draw against Vitesse at the GelreDome. This scoreless draw helped Oss climb one spot in the standings, now sitting at 15th in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.

In a lackluster game, neither team created much of a threat, making 0-0 an expected final result. This Friday, TOP Oss faces off in a derby against the in-form FC Den Bosch at the Frans Heesen Stadium, with kickoff at 20:00.
