Mikki Roolaart and Isabeau de Looze struggle as Leonidas falls behind
After a strong start to the season, Leonidas has been slipping further down the rankings. Last Sunday, local rival Ring Pass claimed a 2-0 victory, causing the team of JDH players Mikki Roolaart and Isabeau de Looze to drop to fourth place in the Promotieklasse.
The match in Kralingen remained goalless for a long time, but two late goals by Ring Pass in the final seven minutes left Leonidas disappointed. While the top spots are still within reach, the team needs to improve their results quickly to remain in contention.
Diederick van Berckel helps Laren secure a crucial win
Last Sunday, the men of Laren achieved a vital victory against league leaders Tilburg. The team, featuring JDH player Diederick van Berckel, won 1-0, keeping them within reach of the top three in the standings.
After a scoreless first hour, it was penalty corner specialist Thomas Vis who clinched the game-winning goal for Laren ten minutes before the end. With this victory, the team from Het Gooi now sits sixth in the Promotieklasse, only two points behind third-place Victoria. This position grants access to the playoffs at the end of the season.
