Mikki Roolaart leads Leonidas to the top of the Promotion League

While fellow title contender Bloemendaal has already dropped four points, Leonidas remains unbeaten after three matches in the Promotion League. MOP was soundly beaten 7-1 last Sunday, with JDH player Mikki Roolaart contributing a goal.

After a disappointing previous season, Leonidas is seeking redemption this year. The team from Rotterdam had already comfortably defeated Nijmegen and Breda earlier. This weekend, MOP was their latest victim. Thanks to these three victories, Leo now stands firmly at the top. Next weekend, they will visit promoted Schaerweijde.

First win for Bloemendaal's women’s team

The women of Bloemendaal have secured their first victory of the season. Breda was defeated 7-1 by the team featuring JDH players Annelies Pos, Malou Nanninga, and Demi Hilterman. The latter scored twice for the Mussen, with Annelies Pos opening the score.

After being relegated last season, Bloemendaal is aiming to return to the Hoofdklasse within a year. The first two matches (against Ring Pass and Nijmegen) ended in draws, but they succeeded against Breda. Next weekend, the team from North Holland will visit MOP in Vught.

The men of Bloemendaal also had a strong week. With contributions from JDH players Jasper Brinkman and Jan van 't Land, SCHC was defeated 5-1 last Thursday, followed by a 4-0 win against Klein Zwitserland three days later. After three rounds, Bloemendaal remains unbeaten and shares the top spot with Amsterdam.

‍Uhlenhorst Mülheim too strong for Grossflottbeker

Uhlenhorst Mülheim has secured its second win of the season. Grossflottbeker was sent back to Hamburg with a 5-3 loss. The team, featuring JDH player and German international Lukas Windfeder, is now seventh in the Bundesliga with six points from four matches.

Uhlenhorst Mülheim took a comfortable 2-0 lead within six minutes against the lower-ranked team from Hamburg. However, fifteen minutes later, the score was 2-3, forcing Uhlenhorst to dig deep in the second half for a good result. Led by Henrik Mertgens, the in-form player on Mülheim’s side, they managed to do so. Final score: 5-3.

Next weekend, Uhlenhorst Mülheim will visit Mannheimer HC, the fourth-ranked team in the standings.
